Women's Christian Fellowship The WCF is a service organization for our women. They meet the first Monday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the church. They have Bible study, currently being led by Wilda Collins, and plan service projects throughout the year.
Our Nursery, for children ages birth to 24 months, is available on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. We provide a secure and loving environment through the use of parent/grandparent volunteers.
The Toddler class, for children ages 2 and 3, is designed to teach basic Christian principles through story, song and crafts.
Our Kindergarten class, for children ages 4, 5 and 6, is designed to give each child a broad overview of both the Old and New Testament. We study our Bible through story, song, crafts and drama. Children are encouraged to share Jesus with their families and friends.
We believe that Music is an integral part of the worship service.
Ephesians 5:19 says “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord”. Our praise team provides a blend of songs rich in tradition as well as contemporary songs filled with praise.
Our team consists of a blend of vocalists and musicians whose sole purpose is to encourage one another and praise the Lord thru song.
Practices are on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and are open to anyone who has a desire to serve the Lord in this ministry.
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
The above scripture describes the goal of our Children's Ministry. Through our Sunday School and Wednesday night programs we strive to develop Christian values in our children so that they can set an example of love, faith and purity in whatever setting they find themselves. Children in first through fifth grade continue learning all facets of the Bible with an emphasis on developing a personal relationship with Christ.
Off site activities are enjoyed once each quarter for the various age groups to encourage building relationships with one another as well as offering an opportunity for guest to join in christian fun in a relaxed environment. Summer camp, mission trips and conferences are also integral parts of our balanced program to encourage Christian growth and development of our children.
The Youth Ministry of First Christian Church exists to lead students to follow Christ. We desire to come alongside parents to support them in raising their kids in the Lord. Our dream is to create programs and relationships that will transform the head, hands, heart and habits of the students God puts in our care. We are confident through the power of Christ Jesus, students will be changed when they join First Christian Church. We also invite you to participate with us in ministry as we work together to transform our students for Christ.
